FLYORooms Introduction

FLYORooms recognizes the importance of privacy of its users and also of maintaining confidentiality of the information provided by its users as a responsible data controller and data processer.

This Privacy Policy provides for the practices for handling and securing user's Personal Information (defined hereunder) by FLYORooms and its subsidiaries and affiliates.

This Privacy Policy is applicable to any person ("User") who purchase, intend to purchase, or inquire about any product(s) or service(s) made available by FLYO Rooms through any of FLYO's customer interface channels including its website, mobile site, mobile app & offline channels including call centers and offices (collectively referred here in as"Sales Channels").

For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, wherever the context so requires "you" or "your" shall mean User and the term "we", "us", "our" shall mean FLYO. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, Website means the website(s), mobile site(s) and mobile app(s).

By using or accessing the Website or other Sales Channels, the User hereby agrees with the terms of this Privacy Policy and the contents herein. If you disagree with this Privacy Policy please do not use or access our Website or other Sales Channels.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any website(s), mobile sites and mobile apps of third parties, even if their websites/products are linked to our Website. User should take note that information and privacy practices of FLYO's business partners, advertisers, sponsors or other sites to which FLYO provides hyperlink(s), may be materially different from this Privacy Policy. Accordingly, it is recommended that you review the privacy statements and policies of any such third parties with whom they interact.

This Privacy Policy is an integral part of your User Agreement with FLYO and all capitalized terms used, but not otherwise defined herein, shall have the respective meanings as ascribed to them in the User Agreement.

In respect to any credit card or other payment processing details you have provided us, we commit that this confidential information will be stored in the most secure manner possible.

Ways in which we obtain personal information

We obtain personal information from you and from travel agents and others who book accommodation for you.

Where you provide us with information about other individuals (e.g. the names of others who you will stay at the accommodation you book), you must ensure that they have seen a copy of this privacy policy and are comfortable with you doing this.

We obtain personal information from you through your interactions with us, including by telephone (please note that we record or monitor our calls for compliance and quality assurance purposes), by email, via our websites, via our apps, via post, via, social media or face to face e.g. in our FLYO-branded accommodations or when you meet an FLYO agent.

We also obtain your personal information from third parties such as:

  • Others who book accommodation for you;
  • Travel agencies through which you book FLYO-branded accommodation (e.g. Booking.com and Expedia);
  • Accommodation providers;
  • Service providers who work with us in relation to our product or service; and
  • If your work role involves you booking corporate employee accommodation, third parties who identify you as the appropriate contact for marketing our services to your organisation.

Categories of personal information

We process two categories of personal information about you and/or, where applicable, others whom you have booked accommodation for, namely:

Standard personal information (e.g. information we use to contact you, identify you or manage our relationship with you); and

Special categories of information (e.g. if you have indicated a halal or kosher food preference or have chosen to let us know that you have a medical condition requiring special accommodations).For further information on these categories of information, please expand this section Standard personal information includes:

Contact Information : We collect your name, user name, address, e-mail address and telephone number(s); if you choose to upload one or connect your social media account to your OM account, your profile picture; and your country of residence, age, gender and date of birth;

Location Information : We may derive your approximate location from your IP address so that we show you more relevant content (e.g. accommodation near you). You can choose to allow our app to access location services so that we can suggest nearby accommodation. This will mean that we collect the precise location of your device when the app is running both in the foreground and the background.

Transaction Information : We collect transaction details related to your use of our services, e.g.type of service requested, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, days booked/stayed, and other related transaction details. If someone else uses an FLYO referral code you have given them, FLYO may associate that other person with you to ensure that you receive the benefit of having made that referral.

Account History : We collect details of your bookings and of contact we have had with you, such as complaints or incidents.

Usage and Preference Information : We collect information about how you interact with our website, app or other Services, including IP addresses, search terms and parameters and device information (you'll find more information about this in our Cookie Statement).

Log Information : We collect server logs, which may include information like device IP address, access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and the third-party site or service you were using before interacting with our Services.

Device Information : We collect information about your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, software and file names and versions, preferred language, unique device identifier, advertising identifiers, serial number, device motion information, and mobile network information to help us understand how our app is performing across a range of devices and to help us identify the cause of "crashes" and potential performance improvements.

Call and SMS Data : We make it easier for you to contact accommodation managers. In connection with this, we receive call data, including the date and time of the call or SMS message, the parties' phone numbers, and the content of the SMS message.

CCTV : We may also collect your personal information if you access our premises and we use CCTV to monitor those premises.

WiFi : If you use WiFi offered at our accommodation, we will collect login information (which may include your email) and usage information that tells us how you use the WiFi. Sometimes you may choose to give us special category information about you or others which may attract extra protections under data protection laws. For example:

Information about health may be revealed by special requests for assistance or disability-friendly accommodation or if you require medical assistance during your stay;

Information about sexual orientation may be revealed if you tell us that you are married or in a relationship and you also give us the name of your partner.

How We Use Your Personal information

While making a booking

While making a booking, we may use Personal Information including, payment details which include cardholder name, credit/debit card number (in encrypted form) with expiration date, banking details, wallet details etc. as shared and allowed to be stored by you. We may also use the information of travelers list as available in or linked with your account. This information is presented to the User at the time of making a booking to enable you to complete your bookings expeditiously.

We may also use your Personal Information for several reasons including but not limited to:

  • confirm your reservations with respective service providers;
  • keep you informed of the transaction status;
  • send booking confirmations either via sms or Whatsapp or any other messaging service;
  • send any updates or changes to your booking(s);
  • allow our customer service to contact you, if necessary;
  • customize the content of our website, mobile site and mobile app;
  • request for reviews of products or services or any other improvements;
  • send verification message(s) or email(s);
  • validate/authenticate your account and to prevent any misuse or abuse.

We value opinions and comments from our Users and frequently conduct surveys, both online and offline. Participation in these surveys is entirely optional. As a registered User, you will also occasionally receive updates from us about fare sales in your area, special offers, new FLYO services, other noteworthy items (like savings and benefits on airfares, hotel reservations, holiday packages, car rentals and other travel services) and marketing programs.

In addition, you may look forward to receiving periodic marketing emails, newsletters and exclusive promotions offering special deals.

From time to time we may add or enhance services available on the Website. To the extent these services are provided, and used by you, we will use the Personal Information you provide to facilitate the service(s) requested. For example, if you email us with a question, we will use your email address, name, nature of the question, etc. to respond to your question. We may also store such Personal Information to assist us in making the Website the better and easier to use for our Users.

FLYO may from time to time launch reward programs by way of which users may stand to win travel related rewards or other rewards. We may use your Personal Information to enroll you in the rewards program and status of the same will be visible each time you log in to the Website. Depending on the reward program, each time you win a reward, FLYO may share your Personal Information with a third party that will be responsible for fulfilling the reward to you. You may however choose to opt out of such reward programs by writing to us. For various purposes such as fraud detection, offering bookings on credit etc., we at times may verify information of customers on selective basis, including their credit information. Additionally, FLYO may share your Personal Information, anonymized and/ or aggregated data to a third party that FLYO may engage to perform certain tasks on its behalf, including but not limited to payment processing, data hosting, data processing and assessing credit worthiness for offering bookings on credit.

We retain your personal information in accordance with FLYO's records retention policies. However,there may be circumstances that mean we must retain your personal information for longer (e.g. if you make a claim in relation to a booking).
